Public Schools

Greater Meyerland is home to some of the highest ranked schools in the Houston Independent School District and in the state.

Elementary schools including Lovett, Herod, Parker and Kolter all boast unique magnet programs. Meyerland Performing and Visual Arts Middle School (formerly Johnston Middle School) is an acclaimed fine arts magnet.

Many residents are also zoned to the highly ranked Bellaire High School.

Private Schools

The area is also home to a wide variety of private schools including: St. Thomas Episcopal, St. Thomas More School, Westbury Christian School, The Shlenker School, Beth Yeshurun Day School, Beren Academy and Emery/Weiner School.

There are also plenty of excellent early childhood options for parents of young children including the Bertha Alyce Early Childhood School at the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC of Houston.

Continuing Adult Education
